Born in Atlanda, GA., Ron G graduated with a dual degree in finance and management form the University of South Carolina. On his first commercial audition, Ron G booked a gig as national spokesperson for Checker’s & Rally’s restaurants and soon thereafter received the Prestigious College Comic of the Year award. Ever since, Ron G has performed at numerous clubs, colleges, churches and corporate events across the country, entertaining people while staying true to his down-to-earth humor and strong character choices.
Ron G describes his comedy style as “high energy and clever with an urban flare” and he wants to represent “the new generation of comedians that get overlooked. I’d like to show the world that the new generation is just as funny, clever, and talented.”
Ron G is the winner of NBC’s Stand Up for Diversity award, and has appeared on Chelsea Lately’s round table and The Arsenio Hall Show as the featured comedian. Beside his outstanding achievements as comedian on stage and TV, he is known for his appearance in The Jenkins Show (2013), Margarine Wars (2012) and Truly Blessed (2009).
