Live Talk: Juno: The Latest from Jupiter with Dr. Fran Bagenal
Event Information
October 3 & 4, 2019 at 7pm
Join Dr. Fran Bagenal as she takes us on a journey to Jupiter with NASA’s Juno spacecraft. We’ll learn brand new information on what this mission is telling us about the largest planet in our solar system. Juno’s principal goal is to understand the origin and evolution of Jupiter. Instruments on Juno are revealing swirling clouds, amazing polar storms, intense aurora and deep weather systems - plus the spinning Great Red Spot. Underneath its dense cloud cover, Jupiter safeguards secrets to the fundamental processes and conditions that governed our solar system during its formation. She’ll also discuss the discovery of more moons of Jupiter - bringing the total to 79!
Please plan to arrive 30 minutes early. This talk will be very popular.
