The Oregon Convention Center (OCC) is the largest convention center in the Pacific Northwest, making it an ideal venue for events of any size - from conventions and industry tradeshows to meetings, auctions and private receptions. Located in beautiful and lively downtown Portland, Oregon, the OCC is the preferred destination for many groups because of its world-class features and amenities, award winning customer service, and leadership in sustainable practices. The center's two grand ballrooms, 50 meeting rooms, 255,000 square feet of exhibit space, full-service catering, and experienced staff can handle events of any size, from 10 to 10,000.

General Information

The Oregon Convention Center is situated in downtown Portland, Oregon on the banks of the Willamette River. The building itself is an award-winning architectural wonder, its twin glass spires gracing the city's skyline. Massive windows and skylights fill the interior with natural light. The center's public art collection features many diverse and engaging works inspired by the people, history and natural wonders of the Pacific Northwest. Quite simply, the OCC is a wonderful place to showcase your event.

The Oregon Convention Center has over 110 experienced full-time staff ready to serve you. Many employees have been here since the center opened in 1990. Customer service is our specialty and we are committed to making each and every event a success.

The Oregon Convention Center was the first convention center in the country to receive LEED®-EB certification under the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) program, and is currently LEED Silver certified. The center has also been acknowledged for its forward thinking practices by a BEST Award from the City of Portland's Office of Sustainable Development, a Salmon-Safe certification, and IAAM's Venue Excellence Award. The facility makes extensive use of natural light, natural habitat vegetation in the landscaping, energy efficient fixtures, and adheres to aggressive recycling, composting and water conservation programs.

Food & Beverage Concessions
Our cafes and concessions offer a wide variety of entrees, snacks and beverages for any time of day, and for any type of appetite. From fresh bakery goods in the morning to fresh made deli sandwiches, classic hot sandwiches and specialty sausages, to our delicious fat-free frozen yogurts and assorted sweets, you will always find something to your liking. During your event you may visit one of our two Starbucks Coffee Stores, located within our main exhibit hall and meeting room lobbies, where you can treat yourself to the classic coffee drinks for which Starbucks is famous.
Directions & Transportation
Getting to the Oregon Convention Center couldn't be easier. Its central location in the heart of downtown Portland's Rose Quarter/Lloyd District affords numerous and speedy transportation options - whether traveling by car or taxi, riding the city's airport-connected TriMet MAX light rail, Portland Streetcar, or often by simply strolling a short distance from your hotel. Just eight miles from Portland International Airport (PDX), the OCC is accessible via Interstate Freeway I-5 North from exit 302A (Rose Quarter) and I-84 West Exit 1 (Lloyd Boulevard). It is bound by Holladay Street, NE Martin Luther King, Jr. (MLK) Boulevard, Lloyd Boulevard and NE First Avenue.
Parking

In addition to the ample street and bus parking in the surrounding area, the Oregon Convention Center provides on-site parking in its clean and secure underground parking garage. 800 spaces are available on the garage's two levels. The maximum daily rate to park is $9.00. Enter the garage via its First Avenue or Lloyd Boulevard entrances (View Map). Clearance on the P1 level is 7 feet; clearance on the P2 level is 9 feet. Overnight parking in the garage is prohibited.


Parking Advisory
Please be advised that there are other privately-owned lots operating in the vicinity charging upwards of $10 to park. Though these lots promote "convention center parking" they are not affiliated with the OCC in any way.

Exhibitor and Vendor Parking
Special exhibitor and vendor parking may be made available as necessary or on a show-by-show basis. Depending upon the event, overflow parking may be directed to one or more satellite lots and/or garages in the area. For questions concerning the availability of these satellite options, please contact your OCC Event Manager or call 503.235.7575.

Street Parking and Drop-off/Pick-up Zones
Street parking is available daily and there are 2,500 parking spaces within walking distance of the convention center for weeknights and weekend parking. View a map of nearby parking locations. Short Term drop-off/pick-up zones are available adjacent to the OCC on NE Martin Luther King, Jr. (MLK) Boulevard and on Holladay Street.

Bicycle and Motorcycle Parking
The OCC has bike racks outside all main building entrances and on both levels of the parking garage. View a map of bike rack locations. There are also designated motorcycle-only parking spaces in the garage. Motorcycles pay the regular parking rates.

Recreational and Mobile Home Parking
The OCC does not permit overnight parking for recreational vehicles or mobile homes in its parking garage, or in any of its satellite parking lots. For a list of local recreational vehicle and mobile home parks and lots, click here.

Tour Bus Loading and Unloading
Tour buses may use the turn-out lanes provided along NE Martin Luther King, Jr. (MLK) Boulevard and Holladay Street to drop off passengers only. Drivers must stay with their buses at all times. Buses are not permitted to park in these lanes for extended periods.

Accommodations for Disabled Persons
Disabled parking is available in the OCC parking garage and all OCC lots on a first-come, first-served basis.
